I was born and raised in Union Grove, AL. I am the daughter of Roger and Suzette Jones. I have one sister, Haley, who graduated from Arab in 2009. She is currently attending Snead State Community College. I am a member of Union Grove First Baptist Church in Union Grove, AL.
I am proud to say that I am an Arab High School Alumni! I graduated from AHS in 2005. While in High School I played softball and was a competition, football, and basketball cheerleader. After graduated from AHS, I attended Wallace State Community College. I earned an Associate’s Degree in Pre-Education in 2007. I finished my college career at Athens State University. I majored in Elementary Education and graduated on May 8, 2009. While at Athens, I was elected to the Founder's Court in 2008 and in 2009. I was also selected as a Miss ASU finalist in 2009. I was hired as a first grade teacher at Arab Primary School in June of 2009. This is my first year as a teacher.
I am also the cheerleading coach at AJHS. I enjoy cheerleading and attending the football and basketball games with my 14 cheerleaders! This is my 4th year to coach cheerleaders at Arab. In the past, I have coached JV cheerleaders at AHS and the competition squad at Arab High School.
I recently got engaged. My fiancé, Buddy Watkins and I got engaged on July 4, 2009. I am busy planning a wedding set for July 3, 2010. We plan to stay in the Arab area.
In my free time, I enjoy photography, scrapbooking, playing softball, and being outside by the pool.
I am very excited about my first year of teaching! I have always known that teaching was the career for me. I have a fantastic class and I know that it is going to be a GREAT year!
